    It turns out, WA has the highest rate for local and state taxes on cell phones in the nation.

      What’s the state tax rate on landlines? And you can’t compare sales tax because we don’t have a state income tax. Sales tax is the primary revenue generator for the state, unlike most other states.

      • Sales tax should definitely be included and compared because it’s an additional cost of owning a cell phone in the state.
        I don’t recall landlines having as much of a tax, but I haven’t had a landline for a couple years now.
