How to Play Blu-Ray Discs in Windows 8/7, OSX, or Linux

I never was much for Blu-ray, but I finally got a device that reads them. Thankfully, it’s really easy to play blu-ray discs these days.

Here’s one way to play Blu-Ray discs for free on your computer:

  1. Download VLC
  2. Download the files on this page, and place them in the locations mentioned.

Bonus: If you want to rip your Blu-ray discs, Lifehacker has a nice how-to.

Fix iSCSI Blu-Ray Blue Screen of Death 12e

I recently bought an LG NAS which had a pretty cool feature: a Blu-Ray player accessible to my network.

The only problem was every time I would try to access it to play the Blu-Ray, the computer would crash with a blue screen.

The Solution: Turn off Window’s iSCSI Initiator and replace it with a better working one.
Download the StarWind Software iSCSI Initiator.
